Our guiding principle when opening the bed and breakfast was that both the beds and the breakfast better be great. Luckily both Daniel and Tracie love good food and believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
We serve breakfast between 8am and 9.30 am in both the dining room of the house and on the screened porch when the weather allows. All suites have access to separate tables in both places and guests can choose on a first come basis.
Guests can come to the dining room between 8 and 9.30 am, choose a table and we’ll offer coffee, tea and a selection of juices. We’ll describe menu options and once you’ve ordered, we’ll prepare your food while you enjoy your drinks. We offer table service so our guests can relax and enjoy their morning meal.
We cook every breakfast to order and focus on a different offering every day. Some of our specialties include farm fresh eggs, crisp, light waffles with real maple syrup, buttermilk pancakes, traditional English breakfast as well as a great southern breakfast with stoneground, slow-cooked grits and perfect buttermilk biscuits. Juice and coffee and a selection of teas are also part of our breakfast offerings.
We source as many ingredients as possible from local farms and suppliers. We are very fortunate to have a fantastic year round farmers’ market in town on Saturday morning and where we buy sausage, breads and eggs as well as fruit in season. All of our waffles, pancakes biscuits and muffins are made by Daniel or Tracie using the best ingredients for the dish.
